My research group is primarily involved in studies related to optical mode interaction with their environment as well as among themselves. We have expertise in developing photonic sensors and solutions for measuring minute changes in physical parameters, e.g., temperature, micro-strain, vibration, pressure, refractive index of fluids, etc. We also have expertise in developing sensors and solutions for detecting various biochemical reagents, e.g., E. coli bacteria, microcystin-LR molecules, cyanobacteria, etc., at trace concentrations. We possess IPs on a number of important discoveries and methods, including two US patents on optical sensors and methods.
